The International Society of Explosives Engineers successfully hosted its 51st Annual Conference on Explosives and Blasting Technique from January 21-26, 2025, at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in Cherokee, North Carolina, USA. This premier event brought together nearly 1,200 blasters, drillers, manufacturers, government officials, industry suppliers and other explosives professionals from around the world to exchange insights, explore innovations, and build new business connections.

The 35th Annual Best in the West (BITW) Drill and Blast Conference in Spearfish, South Dakota, brought together over 300 attendees for three days of training and networking. Organized by the Black Hills and Northern Plains chapters of ISEE, it featured sessions, a trap shoot, a mountain tour, and an awards banquet raising $16,000 for scholarships.
The Penn State Student ISEE Chapter and Eastern PA ISEE Chapter held a joint dinner and meeting on April 10, 2024, at Pennsylvania State University's Hosler Building. Christopher Catalano, Chief of Explosives and Safety Section at PA Department of Environmental Protection, spoke about "Academics in Blasting."
