The Society of Explosives Engineers (SEE) Education Foundation will officially open applications for its 2026 - 2027 scholarship program March 2nd, 2026. For the upcoming academic year, the Foundation will award more than $125,000 USD in scholarships to students pursuing degrees related to the commercial explosives industry.
Established in 1996, the SEE Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting the long term educational needs of the commercial explosives industry. The Foundation advances industry education by promoting the inclusion of explosives-related instruction in engineering and technical curricula, developing high quality training resources and awarding scholarships to students pursuing degrees in fields connected to the explosives profession.
To be eligible for the SEE Foundation scholarships, applicants must be pursuing, or planning to pursue, a technical, undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degree in a field related to the commercial explosives industries. Applications will be evaluated based on:
Scholarship awards vary based on qualifications and available funding. In previous years, awards have ranged from a minimum of $400 USD to more than $7,500 USD for top applicants.
