• Jon Stiehr

    Mr Jon Florian Stiehr, age 76, of Hoschton, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024. The memorial service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church. Pastor John Batusic will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 A.M until the memorial service begins at 11 A.M.

  • Duane Straw

    Duane Lewis Straw of Hill City, SD passed away on the morning of September 6th, 2023. Duane passed with his loving wife, Brenda Straw, by his side in their home. Duane and Brenda met in the summer of 1980 and Duane was immediately taken by Brenda. Duane fell in love with Brenda for her kind soul, witty personality, and beauty (inside and out). Brenda fell in love with Duane for his big heart, caring nature, and those beautiful blue eyes. Duane and Brenda would have been married for 42 years on October 24th.

    Frederick P. Smith, the former president of the IME, died suddenly on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at his home in Alexandria, Va. Fred brought the IME from its long time home in New York City to new offices in Washington, D.C., in 1979 and served as the president for 15 years until his retirement in 1994.

  • Ronald Stewart

    Ronald Stewart passed away on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at the age of 65. He will be greatly missed by his wife Marjory, their son Andrew and his nieces and nephew.

  • Randy Schwandt

    Randy Schwandt was born on July 30, 1946, in Ortonville, Minn. He grew up on a dairy farm 10 miles southeast of Milbank, S.D. Randy attended grade school in a one-room grade school with outdoor toilets. In 1963 he graduated from Milbank High School. He continued his education at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, earning a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1967 as then a master's in civil engineering in 1974.
