Lexington, Kentucky, USA – The ISEE standards committee has been working on revisions to the 2020 version of ISEE Field Practice Guidelines for Blasting Seismographs. The membership was asked to comment on the 2020 version and submit suggested changes in March of 2024. The committee reviewed comments, made changes and voted for this new proposed version. A new proposed Field Practice Guidelines for Blasting Seismographs - 2025 is now available for public comment.

You may comment on the proposed 2025 standard, in writing, to the Executive Director, ISEE, 1792 Alysheba Way, Suite 180, Lexington, KY, 40509, or by e-mail to jhawkins@isee.org. Proposed modifications to the standard will be accepted until May 31, 2026.
Please include the following information with any proposed change:
1. Name, Company/Organization, Address and Telephone number.
2. Recommendation; New Text, Revised Text, and/or Deleted Text.
3. Proposed Change; include the proposed new or revised wording or identify the wording to be deleted.
4. Discuss the reason for the proposed change and substantiate the proposal; State the problem/concern that will be resolved by your recommendation(s) and give the specific reasons for the proposed change.
5. Provide reference material to support the proposal; include topics of testing, research papers, etc. Any proposed changes must be technically justified.
