On October 10, 2025, an explosion at Accurate Energetic Systems' (AES) Bucksnort Plant in Hickman County, TN resulted in the tragic loss of 16 lives.
Along with our most heartfelt condolences, the International Society of Explosives Engineers (ISEE), along with numerous industry organizations, has made a substantial donation to the AES Families Support Fund. This has been established by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, along with AES, to support grieving employees and families. The money used to support this community effort will come from the ISEE Children's Fund and was unanimously approved by the SEE Education Foundation Trustees.
The ISEE encourages its members, and all of those associated with this and related industries, to consider a generous donation to the AES Families Support Fund to help those impacted by this unimaginable tragedy. The Society also reminds its members of the importance of the Annual Conference Sporting Clays Shoot that supports this specific funding and its dedication to provide scholarships to the children of those killed or seriously injured in an explosives-related incident.
