ISEE’s first Knowledge Exchange Webinar, hosted by the Emerging Professionals Section, brought together members from around the world for an engaging presentation by Brian Lewis on Surface and Collapse Blasting Near Voids and Underground Workings.

With almost 100 registrants from over 10 countries around the world, the webinar highlighted the global reach and enthusiasm of the ISEE community.

Throughout the session, participants stayed active and engaged, asking insightful technical questions and contributing to a dynamic Q&A with Brian. Aaron Nickoli, an ISEE member, though it was a great presentation. He shared that he hopes ISEE puts on more Knowledge Exchange Webinars. Charlene Walsh added that she is UK based and her work is demolition of large structures in semi-urban environments, very different to today's presentation but still interesting and always keen to learn and have exposure to other aspects of the blasting world. She shared she's looking forward to more.

Following the presentation, an EP members only networking and group discussion session gave participants the opportunity to apply the presentation to their own projects and ask more detailed personal questions with industry experts.

Two participants also walked away with prizes from the event raffles: Dario Rivera, winner of the ISEE Blasters’ Handbook eBook, and Matthew Brandon, winner of a $75 ISEE Store Credit (EP member opportunity).

ISEE members enjoyed this new members only benefit, gaining exclusive access to expert insights and networking opportunities with peers in the explosives engineering community.

A special thank you goes to Brian Lewis, the Emerging Professionals Section, and everyone who helped make this first Knowledge Exchange Webinar a success.

The recording will be available to Webinar Registrants and EP members who will have exclusive access for the next few months. Non-EP ISEE members can join the section for just $15 or purchase access to the webinar for $20.

This is just one of the many benefits ISEE members have access to. Membership starts at $25 for students and $115 - $150 for professionals depending on your role in the industry. Visit isee.org for more information.
