The International Society of Explosives Engineers successfully hosted its 51st Annual Conference on Explosives and Blasting Technique from January 21-26, 2025, at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in Cherokee, North Carolina, USA. This premier event brought together nearly 1,200 blasters, drillers, manufacturers, government officials, industry suppliers and other explosives professionals from around the world to exchange insights, explore innovations, and build new business connections.

The conference featured three days of technical sessions, two days of blasters training, an extensive exhibit hall, an engaging poster session, and a variety of educational programs and special events all contributing to the advancement of explosives engineering.

A key highlight of the event was the official launch of ISEE’s new Seismograph Operators Certificate Program. Developed and presented by renowned experts in the seismograph industry, this program provided hands-on training in seismograph operation, ensuring accurate and representative measurements for blast performance evaluation and regulatory compliance.

With another successful conference in the books, ISEE continues to lead the way in education, innovation, and professional development for the explosives industry. We look forward to welcoming industry professionals to the 52nd Annual Conference in 2026 in Reno, Nevada!
