Brian is the Senior Drill and Blast Specialist with Respec's explosives engineering group in Lexington Kentucky. Prior experience before joining RESPEC includes 28 years in a family drill and blast contracting company starting with a shovel and working his way up to running the drill and blast portion of the company.

Brian’s focus has been primarily on construction blasting, quarry, and coal blasting. He has designed and installed numerous rock/soil anchors and slope stabilization efforts. Brian has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Louisville and is pursuing a Master of Science in Explosives Technology from Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Brian has completed numerous jobs throughout Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Tennessee. He has personally conducted numerous blasting projects from initial sales and marketing, through design, planning, and execution. Two highlights include the I-69 section 5 in Bloomington Indiana and Civic Center expansion project in downtown Lexington, Kentucky.

He is the president of the Kentucky Bluegrass Chapter of the ISEE and board member of the Kentucky Blasting Conference.
