40th Annual Conference on Explosives and Blasting Technique spotlight
The 40th Annual Conference on Explosives and Blasting Technique will feature three-and-a-half days packed full of networking opportunities with colleagues and industry leaders from around the globe who are at the forefront of the latest research and trends shaping the explosives industry.
There will be seminars, an Explosives Security Workshop, more than 90 technical paper presentations along with 130 exhibit booths showcasing the latest industry technology and products.
One of Monday’s highlights will be from the Opening Session. Calvin J. Konya, Ph.D., a founding member, president and first executive director of the Society of Explosives Engineers with more than 40 years of experience in the explosives industry, will speak about the history of the Society and the state of the industry.
Industry professionals won’t want to miss the talk from Jean Vavrek, Executive Director at Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), either. On Tuesday, Mr. Vavrek will share how CIM members help shape, lead and connect Canada’s mining industry across the globe.
