Sections
Sections are composed of Society members of all classifications in good standing who have a mutual interest in a specific aspect of explosives engineering. Three Sections have been established by the Board of Directors after suitable evidence of interest by members. The Drilling Section, Blast Vibration & Seismograph Section, and the Committee of Fragmentation by Blasting (also known as Fragblast). Sections meet at least once per year usually at the ISEE Annual Conference.
Through their working groups, sections encourage the writing of papers, establish standards, exchange information, conduct meetings, and engage in other activities consistent with the goals of the Section and the Society. By becoming involved in a section you will have the opportunity to contribute to your own professional development by participating in the conference program, submitting articles to the Journal of Explosives Engineering, hearing speakers on subject of interest to your work, participating in networking lunches and discussions, AND receive a 5% discount on ISEE member price on publications related to the sections.
